In 1992, Pastor Henry B. Zachery decided to do something about the seemingly void of help for those who were suffering from drugs and alcohol as well as the homelessness problem. Gathering his own resources he established the first Center on Leighton St. in Los Angeles and Called it the Los Angeles Transition Center. That seed he planted in conjunction with his Christian principles continued to grow, implanting the Spiritual seed in those he helped. His hard work and perseverance guided by God, produced the “Fruit" of the Spirit” in those he helped. Love, Joy, Faith, Peace, Self-Control, Kindness, and Meekness are many of the values that LATC teaches.
